With over 20 years experience in the paid writing field, I figured it is about time to write a book. My past writing experience has included fields involving business communications, healthy living/eating, medical, retail, public relations – to name a few.
I also have written a natural foods cookbook series, ezines, blogs, and reviews of various sorts.
My authoring has resulted in over 3000 articles published on various websites including H&R Block, TaxBrain, Red Lobster, LifeTips, Demand Studios, Making Music, Livestrong, plus numerous other health and fitness-oriented sites.
My goal is to share my book writing and other experiences as a motivational tool for both myself and my readers.
Well…
I am a Midwesterner, born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. From an early age, I’ve been a Detroit Red Wings hockey fan. I remember my mom listening to every game on the radio.
I watched many baseball games at Tiger Stadium, which is now just a empty shell. Sad..
My first priority in school (besides maintaining good grades) was band, since I started playing flute in 2nd grade. Many, many good memories. To this day, I entertain with my flute playing.
After graduating from high school, I worked and saved enough money to travel to Europe where I visited my penpal of 8 years. More wonderful memories:)
After returning from Europe, I was in a car accident which left me in a body cast. Not too many fond memories. This car accident left me with multiple injuries: closed head injury, fractured jaw, fractured neck, ribs, femur – and others. My fractured femur resulted in my needing a total knee replacement – 30 years after the accident.
I underwent a total knee replacement in February of 2008 and started writing about my recuperation process on this site. These postings have turned into a strong support system where others can express themselves while helping others going through the same thing. Nice..
I have been asked to write a book about my body cast experience. With such an extensive injury list, it seems more manageable to divide the injuries into individual books in order to ease reading and increase interest.
Educationally, my background includes an advanced degree in business administration. I’ve completed the 5th year educational requirements for the CPA Exam – which I have passed. I worked three jobs to put myself through college.
I’ve always loved writing. Enough about myself for now.
