Today, Monday February 15, is a first. NHL Live! is back to its original television format. All the surrounding borders are gone. No more small, unreadable print. No more seeing Versus everywhere (even though it is STILL NOT OFFERED BY DIRECTV!!). What a relief….
Thanks to whatever powers put that improvement in place. 🙂
When I first started watching the show, it was great entertainment and hockey information. EJ Hradek and Don LaGreca were the co-hosts. The show was a total joy to watch. Then..EJ left. LaGreca left…
The NHL season started this year (2009-2010 season) with both EJ and Don back. It was great. However…
Now we (viewers) don’t know […]
On this morning’s news there was a news clip about Haiti relief efforts taking place at the federal government level. Apparently, former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton have put together a relief line whereby citizens can donate funds.
As part of the awareness, Bush spoke. “Don’t send water, don’t send clothes. Send money. We’ll use […]
I’ve been hoping that things would straighten out, so I haven’t said anything. It’s reached the point, however, where it is affecting my hockey news. That has to stop.
WHAT IS UP WITH THE NAUSEATING TELEVISION VIEWING FORMAT OF NHL LIVE! ON THE NHL NETWORK?!
It is difficult to read anything. Whenever someone is either in-studio (Bill […]
While watching NHL Live! earlier today, I was pleased to see a breakdown of all the NHL teams. The information was divided into conference and division. It’s very helpful if you want to make sense out of which team belongs where. So, here goes….
New Jersey Devils
Tampa Bay Lightning
Update: Nicklas Kronwall of the Detroit Red Wings is out for at least a month due to a MCL injury to his left knee. The injury was a result of the “tripping” by Laraque. I don’t care to know that individual’s first name.
Fact: Players were in the neutral zone. Laraque attempted to hit Kronwall and […]
In an interview on the NHL Network today, Johnny Bower a retired NHL goaltending legend, gave his secret for getting rid of his scars and wrinkles….
“They sell this stuff called cocoa butter,†he said. Then, he went on to say how he had huge scars around his mouth area. (He received 45 stitches from when […]
What’s with NHL Live! broadcasting on DirectV? There is a small screen broadcasting the in-studio feed. Then, sideboards are flashing nonstop with current games and scores. The bottom bar (footer) is also flashing.
Whatever is printed on the in-studio broadcast is unreadable…it’s so small.
It’s not the least bit appealing. What’s going on?
And….Versus is continuously mentioned […]
NHL Live! (broadcast on the NHL Network and XM/Sirius Radio) is usually an informative show, but the other day an idea was presented that sounded great. Billy Jaffe, former NHL player and current New York Islanders commentator, mentioned a way to get others interested in the sport of hockey.
First, the team would sell a “beginner’s […]
