Pittsburgh Penguins V Washington Capitals – 2 Hat Tricks!!

What a fantastic game! Versus did a great job broadcasting it. “Doc” Emrick is such a delight to listen to. It is no wonder he’s in the Broadcaster Hall of Fame. Not only is he informative, quick, and passionate – he’s entertaining. That’s quite a combination. While broadcasting during this game, he called the Pittsburgh fans there “infiltrators”. 🙂

Anyways…. Both Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins) and Alex Ovechkin (Washington Capitals) had hat tricks. That is a rare occurrence, having two hat tricks in one game during the playoffs.

Seeing that the game was played in Washington, the ice was covered with hats when Ovechkin scored.

When Crosby scored, there was one hat thrown. That just tickles me silly. 🙂

Washington is up 2-0 in the series.
